Keep Ground Ops Connected
Below are a few excepts from an October 2024 GHI article written Rebecca Wetzel, President and CEO of NetForecast:
It is important to measure quality of experience (QoE) down to the user level, encompassing the entire data path, which includes what are referred to as the first and middle miles of the network, not just the portion between the data centre and the mobile phone mast.
To do that effectively requires continuous, independent, end-to-end, third-party monitoring from the user’s actual device, which is what NetForecast does.
Good end-to-end network performance is a must to support timely aircraft turns because it enables ground operations personnel to work efficiently. Constantly monitoring the quality of experience delivered to users over the entire network path across all the networks that the user’s traffic traverses, (not just the last mile network that directly serves the airport) provides the data needed to identify problems within all the interconnected networks involved, and to work with the service providers to improve and maintain an optimal user experience.
